We're proud supporters of responsible fisheries and tie nearly all of our patterns on barbless hooks. When a specific barbless hook isn't available, we carefully crimp the barb before the fly ever reaches your box. The only exception is our smallest micro patterns (sizes 22–26), where micro barbs are sometimes necessary to maintain the integrity of the hook.
