Partridge Soft Hackle

A partridge soft hackly fly is a classic, highly effective wet fly.  Characterized by its sparse body and a collar made from the speckled feathers of a Hungarian partridge, this pattern mimics emerging aquatic insects like caddisflies, mayflies and midges.  The extremely mobile, soft fibers of the partridge feather trap air bubbles and undulate  dynamically under water, giving the fly a lifelike, buggy appearance that triggers aggressive strikes.
